Has anyone worked that this hospital or a large 1000 bed teaching, university hospital? If so, how does the work culture differ from a normal 350 bed hospital? Are error policies more punative in such hospitals with mandatory reporting (in practice, not just written policy?) How does a decentralized pharmacy model differ, work-wise? What are the advantages, disadvantages?

You'd probably get more responses if you had the name of the hospital right - "Sans" is the French word for without.

I think you mean Shands Hospital in Gainesville. I remember them from back in the old days when they would stuff an advertisement in everyone's mailbox in PPS at MidYear encouraging you to apply for their residency; some attendees actually thought it was a personal invitation.

What's the culture like? What are the personalities like? It's a 1000 bed hospital with tons of residents, both pharm and medical, high overhead clinical people, but the positions seem cleaved into specialized ones, e.g. ICU, ED, etc.
