I'm very confused about the fact that sarcomas are supposed to metastasize hematogenously and carcinomas are supposed to metastasize via lymphatics (except renal cell, hepatocellular, follicular thyroid, and choriocarcinoma). I thought I understood that until a couple of questions that I got wrong saying Colorectal cancer metastasis to liver is via portal vein (hematogenously???) and prostate cancer metastasis to bone is via prostate venous plexus(hematogenously??).. Both are carcinomas, so I though they would metastasize via lymphatic system
