Hi,

I am a little distrubed and I thought to post it here.
I have good GPA, EC, Volunteer and very good research experience but low MCAT.
When I started applying to schools, I wished that If I get just one YES, that it. I got 12 interview invites ( 10 DO and 2 MD), Attended 3 do and got accepted in all of them. Got 2 MD interviews and put on wait list of 1 of them. The one MD school I got rejected was my top priority. They are still making wait list and I hope to get in the wait list, finger crossed.
When I received the rejection email from my top choice MD school, I got very much depressed. I was not even hoping the interview from this school due to my low MCAT but when I got interview invite and I did very well in interview, my hope raised and when I hear rejection from them, it am kind of mental shock.

why my expection raised so much and I was just wishing to get 1 YES feel not satisfied with my results? Why/

You do not have to post a reply if yo do not want to but I wasnted to share my frustration with some one and I posted here.. I feel good now....

take care

im so confused....so you were depressed, but now your feeling good correct? well you have 3 (potentially 4) schools to choose from! congrats

i felt little better after posting in the forum. I still feel depressed as I am not getting in my dream school.

The answer to this is because you were suddenly elevated to "not average or sub-par" so, your hopes were raised... Then they were half-dashed by not having an outright acceptance to the top choice...

I posted a similar thing to somebody else recently. There are literally thousands who would VERY happily take any of your acceptances. But it just goes to show it's all relative.
