Of course there are easier ways to make a living. You should have picked one of those. For the people who actually like dentistry, they're on the right path.

yes. everyone, listen to this guy. he knows what he's talking about. don't bother applying to dental schools (that way i'll have a better chance of being admitted 😀 )!

While is post is quite an "easy target" to lay into, it's probably a good reminder that just becuase you get it doesn't mean you've made it. In fact, all of us applicants might not be as eager to apply if we knew the true loads of stress/politics/debt/hard work involved. Of course, if it was all bad there wouldn't be record numbers of applicants to become dentists. From my experience talking with dentists, their level of job satisfaction is very high. From talking to the dental students I've visited with at my interviews, they don't deny it's tough but they're all making it.
