I will most likely be going to Stony Brook University as a Biology Major with Premed. How will this impact my chances of getting into a med school? Also, as a caucasian student that is seriously low-income, should I still intend to go to medical school? It's the only career path I can think of for myself, and I'm extremely dedicated to my success, as I don't want to end up like either of my parents. Please be brutally honest!!

These questions may get you roasted by many veterans on this site. It doesn't matter where you go or what your major is.. just do well in general. One of my friend was homeless and got into medical school so that should answer your second question.

Hi, it really doesn't matter what you major in just maintain a high GPA, get involved with extracurriculars and do well on the MCAT. If you are determined, I am sure you will do well! Good luck!

I applied super low income and they provide loans to cover full COA. You likely won’t have any problem at all obtaining those loans. (Unless you have some seriously bad credit issues for GradPlus)
