Hey...I am probably begining to flood by this time, however...anyone acutally understand how the DAT is scaled? I've taken the Kaplan practice tests (full ones) and got a "scaled" score of 19. If you actually take the percentage I got correct and multiply it by 30 I would have a 21...

is this something Kaplan does to lower scores vs. the actual thing,or is the test really made that way? hopefully that made some sense...😕

In TS and PAT a perfect score = 30. Then for the next 5 questions or so, each one wrong = 1 point off the score. Then from there it's like 2 questions per point, then 3 questions per point, then maybe 4 or 5 questions per point, until you get under a 7 or so and it's 1 or 2 questions per point again.

The individual sections don't always have a 30 for a perfect score. Sometimes it's a 25 or a 28 or something up there. It is based on how hard your specific test is. I believe they put common questions within each test as a way to compare different tests. If your test is incredibly easy you'll probably get a 25ish for a perfect score, whereas a difficult test would give you near a 30.

But TS and PAT are ALWAYS 30 for a perfect score.
