I used to cut myself, and I still have scars on my left forearm/wrist. They're not raised or super dark, but you can see them if you're paying attention or if you look closely.

Should I get something topical and try to get rid of them? I'm afraid that if my classmates/professors/coworkers see them, it's going to automatically put me in a negative light. I haven't done anything about them because it's a personal reminder about what I never want to do again, but if it's going to be a big deal, I'll get rid of them.

I don't think anyone will notice them, if you're in a professional situation you might be in long sleeves anyway...based on these photos, I don't think anyone will notice short of them staring right at your arm.

I wouldn't do anything different IMO.

Best of luck to you.

benzol peroxide, aloe vera cream + lemon juice?

Not that noticeable. If you want to play it safe, then dress business casual.

my first thought, if i even saw these scars in the first place, would have been "aw were you playing with a cat?"

I wouldn't worry about them at all. I looked at the pictures and then looked at my arms and while I never cut, my scars look worse than yours. Scars are reminders of things in our past and contribute to our own personal beauty. Yours remind you of your cutting past, mine remind me of turkeys and chickens!

You really can't tell. I wouldn't notice if I was with you. The only thing I could think of is a person who will notice is someone who is a cutter/ex-cutter.

Good luck to you!
