..exactly which sections dont we need to know in this book?

my suggestion would be to go through schaum's only after going through the kaplan blue book...a lot of the information is the same, but schaum's goes in to a lot of detail that is skipped in kaplan.

if you build a good foundation with kaplan, you can skim over the basics and focus on studying the details in schaum's that might help on the exam. to be honest...i felt schaum's was a bit TOO detailed, but some of the sections are helpful because they cover subjects that are somewhat skimmed over by kaplan (i.e. anything regarding plants and photosynthesis, immunology, cardiovascular system)

once you've gone over all that, finish off your bio studying with the destroyer...it'll help you hammer home whatever you've learned in kaplan and schaum's, and teach you a thing or two new along the way.

thats my suggestion...it worked for me. best of luck.

I would say you have to study basically everything in the book.
Schaum may cover more than necessary but it's harder to find which pages to skip and so on.
Schaum covers basically what you already learned in the class so it shouldn't be a new stuff and use it as a refreshing guide.
