I have a quick question regarding acceptances and conditions.

I am currently finishing up a masters thesis and may or not finish it in time for the fall submission date. I put on my AADSAS that I would graduate in December, but I may decide to move this date to May and take another semester to polish it up.

My question is: will this affect acceptences if I'm extended any and let the dental program know I plan on working longer on my thesis? It's not like I'm dropping science classes I said I'd take, and I'd be done with my masters before dental school began.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Hey, I don't think it should be that big of a deal, but I'd suggest you do the AADSAS academic update to have them know what's going on, but the best bet would be to contact each and every school you applied to, (1) to have them be informed, (2) so they can tell you what their opinion is. Predominantly every school I've applied to has very approachable ADCOM people, so I'm sure they'd love to help out. Plus, this might just be another method of "getting them to know you". I know people always say on SDN, when you contact a school, they note it in their application. Plus, it's a pretty justifiable reason for you to extend your graduation date, it's not like you're messing around...you're just working on a thesis. Good luck! 🙂
