So I am planning to study for mcat during spring and would like to keep my schedule light. I was wondering if taking only 9 credits would be looked down upon even with mcat prep. This is also my last semester of college.

microbio lab 1 credit
Theory and practices in biological science 2 credits
communication studies class for my minor 3 credits

virology or principles of nematology (haven't decided which one to take yet) 3 credits

total 9 credits

thanks!

Is your UG ok with it? Why not add in an easy social science/history course and raise it to 12?

oh oops looks like the minimum for full time is 12. I guess I'll just find one more easy class. but would suddenly taking 12 credits be ok? I have always taken 15 or 16 credits every semester so I am just wondering.

12 is fine

Taking 12 credits of easy coursework while studying for the MCAT is perfect.

Schools won't be concerned at all. No worries.

What if I take a 1000 level communication studies course? would that look bad? Would I be seen as slacking off?
