Hi all! Hope everyone's doing well so far. Just a quick question: do the interview dates at nonrolling schools matter "less" in terms of how early you schedule them? I'm having a conflict planning interviews between some rolling and a nonrolling school, and I was thinking about scheduling the nonrolling school interview next month rather than this month. Will this be a negative factor for the nonrolling school in any way?

Thanks so much!

At this early in the interview season, it will not matter if you shift it to next month. Once you're getting into 'late' interview season, as in January/February, you definitely want to do it as early as possible.

In general, it will not matter an enormous amount when you interview for a non-rolling school. Those who were stronger candidates tend to interview earlier, and therefore have a better chance of acceptance, however when in the year is not very important. For rolling schools, there is a good chance that they will run out of slots by late interview season, but as I said, it is still quite early.

I really appreciate the response! I guess what I meant was whether or not there was any advantage to early interviewing at nonrolling schools versus later interviewing, since they don't make any decisions until next spring anyway. Sorry if I didn't make that clear, and thanks again for the reply!
