scheduling interviews

I am trying to plan a trip to Europe from the middle of April until the end of May. I have contacted a bunch of schools that say they have never held interviews after the middle of April but won't promise anything. How suicidal do you think it is to leave for this long during the very end of interviews?

screw em', go to europe!!!! think if you decided not to go and ended up without any interviews then, i think i would be even more suicidal if that happened. good luck!

i say go to europe. i bet some schools extend interview season, but i'd take the risk and get that vacation! maybe call the schools you're dying to hear from in late feb to tell them you're only available until mid-april in case they want to interview you.
