The scholarship application I am filling out asks this:

Please discuss briefly any factors that affect your financial aid or ability to pay for medical school in the space below.

What are some examples of factors they are alluding to? Are they looking for factors like car loans, student loans, parents will not be paying for anything, etc.?

Any of what you listed. If you're applying for a scholarship, it's because you feel you need additional money for medical school. Why do you need that money? Explain it.

Sounds very similar to the one I'm filling out for MUSC! I'm going to discuss things like what you mention and also the impact that scholarships have had on me in the past, such as a scholarship for a study abroad that I wouldn't have been able to do otherwise.
