Hey Students!

I recently got accepted to several schools but received a tempting scholarship from one of the schools. Did any of you who got scholarships only receive them on the day acceptance was offered, or did any come later? Also did anyone ever prompt the financial aid office of your top school to see if they had anything available? Trying to avoid seeming ungrateful or rude. I’ve never done this so any advice would help.

I got some day one and others a few weeks later. I would definitely ask a school if they are your #1 to see if you can work with them.

Had you already completed the FAFSA when you received the scholarships offers? Also, who would you recommend talking to -- the financial aid or admissions office?

No for most of them, as they weren’t need-based.

I would CC both but if I had to talk to one talk to admissions.
