For anyone who has already been accepted, has anyone received scholarhips from their respective schools? If so, what were your stats? Thanks!

I recieved a $10,000 a year scholarship from ICO. I have a 3.93 gpa, I think I got a cummulative 370 on the OAT, and I have worked at two optometrists, and shadowed a few others as well as having leadership roles in POPS and other organizations. It was a scholarship that you are automatically entered for when you apply.

I received a scholarship from ICO as well $5,000 a year . I have a 3.50 GPA, OAT: TS 330, AA 320. I had 5 very strong LORs, a lot of paraprofessional experience (2 years with an optometrist, 1 yr cataract specialist, and currently working as a tech for a lasik surgeon). Also did A LOT of community service in undergrad (tutoring inner-city kids) and held several leadership positions in the SGA and other campus organizations. When I applied I was automatically considered for the scholarship.

$3000 at OSU. I think I've posted my stats before but they're 350 AA 350 TS and 3.5 GPA.

I was recently accepted at UMSL and they offered me an initial scholarship of $14,000 but that is because I am a non-resident at their institution which basically would give me the education for the price of a in state resident. Although I hear that some scholarships are not offered until after everyone has their seat in class and the interviews are over with. My stats are: OAT 360TS 350AA, 3.7 GPA with a BS in Biology and BA in Chemistry, and various research/shadowing experiences.

Are there scholarships for every school? I was wondering if there are any for SCCO. If so, do they notify you after your acceptance..........or how does it work? Anyone received one from SCCO?

Yeah...do the schools inform you of your awarded scholarships in your acceptance letter or do they send that separately?
