Hi, it's me again. I was wondering if there are any scholarships out there for dental school. Do you apply to a scholarship or does the school offer you one? Also, when is a good time to discuss it, the day of the interview or do people usually wait to see if they got accepted first? Someone told me (but it's not the most reliable source) that with my grades (I am majoring in Biology and have a 4.0, got 22 on my DAT) that I should get a scholarship but I am kind of skeptical about it. I know my state school (MD) does not offer any scholarships, but what about the private schools? (I got a couple of interviews from the private ones, so how can I get more info and when would be a good time to ask), thanks again

Usually state school are cheap around $125,000 to $150,000
for 4 years of dental school. Most private school are $225,000 to
$300,000 for 3 (UOP) or 4 year school. Some Private schools give
some scholarships like 25 to 50 k to lure good candidates. I heard
UOP gives 40 K scholarship to candiadates like you but the
UOP cost is 240,000. So, try to go to your state school.
All the best friend!

State schools usually do not offer scholarships and if any,
$ amount is very little!

actually.. i think MD does offer scholarships. i recall hearing that when i interviewed there. as to how much they give, i'm not too sure.

they said you will know if you got the scholarship with your acceptance letter.
