I am fron Virginia and just got into NSU in florida for their DPT program. Their DPT scholarship is only for florida residents and I was wondering if any of you know if there are any scholarships i can apply to.. I really need it.

Check if there is a Health South Rehab hospital or center locally that is participating in the tuition assistance program , contact their HR dept. Not all do but you might get lucky ..... 5 or 10 thous. to be paid pack w/ service of 1 or 2 yrs. There aren't deadlines on it but if they are doing the program it pays to get in ASAP while they have the money the interest and future need. good luck

Well.... not to be rude at all, but I think it can be said that most anyone "really needs it" who is going into physical therapy or any medical profession at that.

There are some hidden repayment programs like the above poster indicated. You just have to do your research. Most likely you are going to have to pull loans and then hopefully you can find a job that offers some loan repayment as a perk or benefit. It definitely can be stressful pulling out lots of loans, especially if you have a family to support too, however, the bright side is that you have a great career that will keep you financially secure and be able to support a family etc. Your loan bill will just be another bill that you have to pay. Just keep a positive attitude and get ahead on the loans when you can. It will all work out for ya!
