I'm wondering if people could give some insight on how long it takes schools to process applications. My application was submitted in October and haven't heard anything from schools beyond them receiving my materials and cashing my checks.

When should I expect to receive interview offers or rejections? Also, how do most schools inform you of interviews?

In case it helps, I applied to:
BU, Tufts, Harvard, UConn, UMDNJ, Columbia, Temple, Buffalo, and Pitt

If you sumbitted in October, that means your applications have probably just completed in most schools.

At this point in time, schools will probably take another 2-3 weeks to further process your application. If you have good stats expect interview invites to come around late Dec/early Jan or so, although your actual interview date will probably be much later.

Last year, i submitted end of October and heard from my first school mid January

when you say completed at schools, does that mean the time at which you received the email from them confirming everything was done? b/c i received that email almost 2 months ago. perhaps because my stats are mediocre, it's taking a really long time to offer me an interview? is there a chance they'll never say anything?
