Hi Everyone - I am new to this site and am in need of some guidance! I am applying now to schools in the Long Island, New York City area for a masters in School Counseling. Does anyone have recommendations for good programs in the area? Any other information would be welcome, including recommendation letters, experience needed, and especially cost. Are there any private scholarships available that anyone knows of. I am already in debt from undergrad! ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED I AM STILL IN THE RESEARCHING PHASE!!

Hi Nicole, regards from a former LIer. I would suggest you trying to do a Google search for a wider range of schools. Two schools that I've looked at are CW Post on LI and NYU in Manhattan. Both seem to have some good programs in SW and Psych. I haven't really looked to see about school counseling, but you can check their websites to see if they have any concentrations in school counseling.
