No.Thank you very much for your input, I appreciate it! Glad I'm not totally out of the running for Boston. In your experience, would the B/B 126 being <10th percentile for many schools (per MSAR) be an issue?
We're willing to do distance if he can't relocate. He understands that this process is very competitive and that there's no guarantee that I can stay in the Northeast.Have you had your list reviewed by your fiancee? If you are that serious, you need their input. Save as much money on your marriage ceremony.
Just checking. Now that said, if he cannot move for his current position, what cities offer him the best opportunities to find a similar or a more desirable position? If you are doing the commuter connection on alternating weekends, would convenient are planes or trains? (I point this out because, while I love Winston-Salem, I don't know if Wake would help you. I might replace with Vanderbilt if your metrics fit... and Nashville is a hip place.)We're willing to do distance if he can't relocate. Thank you, I appreciate the thorough response. We'll ponder this. Good call to add UNECOM.Just checking. I would consider UNECOM even if it is a DO program. You need as many close options as you can get, unless there is a compelling reason not to.
That's reassuring, thank you! Many schools will be happy to interview someone with a 514.
Even though evaluators may have a "pet" subsection, it's as likely to be CARS as B/B!
If you interview well, they will overlook this minor weakness in the application.
I suggest:@Goro @chilly_md @LizzyM if you have time, I would appreciate your feedback alongside what Faha, Mr. Smile, and gyngyn have already helpfully suggested, re: school list, OOS places where I might be wasting time/$
Thanks all for all your work on this site!
