You're going to need some higher stats for some of those schools. (UoMiami, Brown, St. Louis)

Remove Saint Louis, Kentucky, Brown, Miami, Minnesota, and Cornell.

Remove all schools and apply to DO. Or take MCAT again.

You're a jerkoff and a waste of life. Stop giving inaccurate advice to people honestly seeking opinions from educated people to gauge their future.

@ OP, you clearly are below average but that is not to say your list is poor. You have a big one, I think the above posters are right to suggest you are perhaps wasting your money at Cornell, Brown, etc. however I think you've got a list that will serve you well in general.

I think your season will be filled with ups and downs, but providing all your ducks are in a row (good personal statement, etc.) I believe you will finish on a high note.

Best of luck to you.

WTH... OP may not have the highest stats, but his/her ECs look great. Plus, average MCAT/GPA is exactly that -- average, meaning there will be matriculants with lower numbers. OP is applying to a large number of schools and has a realistic perception of him/herself. There is absolutely no reason for you to be so discouraging/sarcastic. I hate it when people make remarks like that...

OP: add a few DOs as backup if you want, but you definitely have a shot at many of the MD schools on your list. Stay confident and you'll pull through this cycle with an acceptance (or more). Good luck!

unless you're an Ohio resident you should drop NEOMED. They take the majority of their students from a post-bacc program they're associated with, so even Ohio residents have a tough time there. last year they only took 8 OOS and 96/127 came from the post-bacc.

He edited out his comment -_- Some people only live to bring others down, then when they are faced with opposition they turn and run with their tail between their legs. 👍

This thread makes me feel better as I have similar stats and what I think are good EC's. Good luck this cycle OP and thank you to those who say there is hope even though we don't have the standard SDN 3.8+/34+ stats!

thanks everyone, is there any schools I should add? I am not worried about the costs as I'd rather have a successful expensive cycle than reapply next year

You know your stats are low. Are you applying DO to be safe? I would add 5 DO schools just to feel certain and so you have a fallback. You may get lucky at which case you just withdraw DO. But you will almost for certain get in DO, so it is nice to have that as well. But you don't have to.
