U VM is very OOS friendly, that's why it's on the list.Thank you for your response!
I do have a question about some schools on the list though. I see that for schools like NYU.LI or NYMC, my MCAT score is either on the 10th or 25th percentile. Also, schools like U VM are public schools in states that I am not a resident of. Do I have a chance in getting interview invites to those kinds of schools?
Oh got it.U VM is very OOS friendly, that's why it's on the list.
When you're down around the 10-25th %ile on my lists, you're in striking distance for IIs
You can't just look at OOS acceptance, you have to look at OOS apps received and compare to II's and then accepts.Oh got it.
I was a bit worried because, for most schools, both my MCAT and GPA are on the lower 10-25% percentile. I guess I was getting a bit anxious about that fact.
Also any thoughts on Wright State University? I did research on MSAR and their statistics and OOS acceptance looked pretty reasonable.
I suggest these schools with your stats in addition to the schools you already have on your list:@Faha I was also curious about your input the great wise Faha!

Yes, AAMC Fls and it was my first time taking them. I can think of a lot of reasons why I might have gotten a low score on the actual test day, but they all are excuses I guess. I was so shocked yesterday that I lost faith in my capability to take tests, and am scared to retake the MCAT at this point. We’re the FLs from AAMC and was it your first time taking them?
Yes, apply to schools where your stats are in the 10th to 25th percentile.T
Thank you for your response!
One final question would be, considering that I am an Asian Male (ORM) and that both my GPA and MCAT are on the 10~25% percentile for MD schools, would you recommend me applying to these MD schools, or retaking the MCAT and postponing my application to next year? I know that Goro mentioned above that the 10~25% percentile is in striking range for IIs, but I also wanted to hear your opinion!
Don’t lose faith! I had to take the mcat twice and apply twice and now I’m starting at a T40 this fall. So if you choose to apply, just know it’s not the end all be all if you don’t get in that cycle. You can reassess your app and apply again, I know many people that had to do that!Yes, AAMC Fls and it was my first time taking them.
