The schools in red I was rejected from last cycle pre-interview. Is it worth it to reapply to them? I feel like I have no shot at top ten/cali schools after last cycle.

IF you have made significant improvements in your app.

Also, rewrite all essays and have multiple eyeballs vet them.

You have a research heavy app with a high MCAT - I would add some research powerhouses where your GPA is above the 10th percentile. Look into: Cornell, Sinai, Case Western, Vanderbilt etc.

I have no idea how applicants like this don't get accepted to medical school. OP I had the a similar profile. Apply to any more MD schools you can afford to. I am pretty sure you'll get in this time.

I don't know either - learned a lot from all this though (about medicine and life in general) so grateful for that. I did apply super top-heavy last year and I think I could have maybe come off a bit arrogant in my primary as well. Those are the only two things I can pinpoint as to what sank me last year. Any suggestions for more MD schools that match my profile? Hopefully, I'll have more luck this year.

Not the best to suggest US MD schools. That's Goro or LizzyM domain.

@Banco Any thoughts?! 🙂

Not much more than what I posted above. You have an objectively strong app, but you need to apply broadly - this includes research heavy schools/top 20s, mid tiers, safeties. Apply to at least 30.

Also, you received interviews last time but were unfortunately waitlisted - make sure to revamp your essays and practice interviewing a bit. Good luck!
