Hi, I am new to this thread and was hoping to get help with my school list as a somewhat non-traditional student. Here is an overview of my stats and experiences. Thank you!
Demographics: White male, 26 years old
Residence: New York State
GPA: 3.66 with strong upward trend (decided to pursue med school during my last year of previous degree so I spent 3 additional years finishing the pre-med courses for a total of 7 years in undergraduate)
MCAT: 511 C/P 127, CARS 126, BIO 129, Psych 129
Degrees: BS Exercise Science 2016, BS Sociology 2019 from SUNY Brockport
Experiences:
Physician Administrative Assistant (45 hours)
BOCES Teacher’s Aide Most in Medically Fragile Classroom (652 hours)
Personal Trainer for SUNY Brockport Employee Fitness Program (320 hours)
Genetics Research (400 hours)
Data Consultant for New York State Center for School Health (182 hours)
NCUR Research Conference Poster Presentation (2 hours)
Genetics and Biology Tutoring (61.5 hours)
BOCES Clerical Support for Alternative High School (135 hours)
Physician Shadowing (4 hours at office location but Dr met with patients via telehealth due to pandemic)
Saltwater Coral Reef Aquarium Personal Hobby (600 hours)
Self-Taught Sign Language (15 hours)
I am trying to stay within 6-10 hours of my hometown in upstate NY so that was the main basis for my list, but I am willing to compromise if needed. Other than the location, I would be grateful to attend any school! I know I have too many schools, but I am not sure which ones I should cut or add.
