Hey guys,
I finally got my MCAT score back so now I can start figuring out where to apply. I ended up doing way better than I expected, so it kind of threw off my whole plan for my list. Here are the details:

White female, VA resident, non-trad
3.59 sGPA/3.61 cGPA
~3.90-3.95 GPA from a masters degree in biochem
518 MCAT (128/128/131/131)
Lots of clinical and non-clinical volunteering, tons of research, leadership, club sports, TA-ing

I appreciate any feedback!

I finally got my MCAT score back so now I can start figuring out where to apply. I ended up doing way better than I expected, so it kind of threw off my whole plan for my list. Here are the details:

White female, VA resident, non-trad (I guess?)
3.59 sGPA/3.61 cGPA from liberal arts school undergrad (started at a 2.75, ended at a 4.0)
Also studied abroad through a major state school (4.0, factored into my cGPA/sGPA)
~3.90-3.95 GPA from a masters degree in biochemistry at a major research school
518 MCAT (128/128/131/131)
One IA, alcohol violation my junior year (nothing illegal, just had beer in an on-campus apartment)
4 shadowing experiences, two long-term
~1.5 years of research in a pathology lab + ~1 year (so far) of biochemistry research in grad school (my second year of my masters will be all research as work/study with a grant)
~100 hrs free clinic volunteer work for underserved population
Spring break medical trip to Guatemala
Volunteered ~45 hours in a cancer support group (does this count as clinical?)
~80 hrs non-clinical volunteering at a zoo/aquarium + a bunch of smaller volunteering things adding up to about 100 hrs
2 honors societies, 1 scholarship, 6 semesters of Dean's List, Cum Laude
Decent amount of leadership experience (I was a Leadership Studies minor, too)

Sorry that was kind of long. I definitely have a couple red flags and also my much-improved masters degree GPA makes it hard to figure out what schools I have a good chance at. I appreciate any feedback!

I agree with everyone above but start by adding your state schools.

Okay, I was thinking I'd apply to like 15-20 MD and 3-5 DO:

VCU
EVMS
UVA
VCOM
Georgetown
GW
SUNY Upstate, Wisconsin, Stanford (just because I have family who went to these places)
UNC Chapel Hill
U of Maryland
Possibly Hopkins (super reach, but that's where my masters is from)
PCOM
CCOM
Icahn?
Dartmouth?
Miami?

I have no idea...Thanks y'all!

I'd also add Drexel, Temple, Wake forest, and Penn State... Quite Frankly though, unless you wanna be a DO, I don't think you need to apply To DO school.

I'd much prefer to be an MD, but I've always just heard I should always add a couple DO schools just to be safe...You really think I don't need to? My GPA for the DO application is a little higher because of how many more subjects they consider "science".

You have a 97th percentile MCAT, your GPA is very competitive for most MD schools, and your ECs are more than enough. So no, you don't need to apply DO to guarantee at least an interview.

All these schools are reasonable with your stats:
VCU
EVMS
UVA
Wake Forest
West Virginia
GW
Georgetown
Miami
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Mount Sinai
Einstein
Hofstra
Cincinnati
St. Louis
Tulane

What do you guys think of Dartmouth and Brown?
