Sounds like a good list. Historically azcom preferred higher mcat applicants so might be less love there but who knows maybe the personal statement can get you some interest

Moved to WAMC.

800 hours of shadowing sounds extremely excessive. Are you sure a lot of this does not fall under clinical experience? That's essentially 100 days of following a doctor or being in an OR from 9-5.

AZCOM looks for higher MCAT scorers as mentioned above. OSU would likewise expect much higher stats if you are not from OK or a neighboring state.

Add:
PCOM South Georgia
WVSOM
UP-KYCOM
DMU
Marian
LECOM (all campuses)
NYIT AR

I agree 800 hours of Shadowing and 22 hours of nonclinical volunteering seems weird. Can you provide details? I need the details for community service

So i did a volunteer program through LSUNOLA for 10 and I did a volunteer softball coaching gig to keep the rec program from shutting it down for 12 hours total

i did shadow for two years on and off. The community my university is in is medically underserved and during COVID so thats the only Doc i could shadow at the time so I thought i should eat up all the hours i could. Also he is an MD and writing a letter for me. I found a rough list of schools that require DO letters, did I miss any above?

Shadowing beyond 50-100 hours unfortunately does not add much. The letter will satisfy the physician LOR requirement for nearly all the DO schools. It is up to you to see if any I suggested require a DO specifically.

I commend you for helping to make sure community programs don't shutter. In the scheme of things for your WAMC, though, you need more community service hours showing service orientation to alleviate others' distress. (The rec program can be viewed as helping with community building and safety for those participating, but it doesn't quite fit.)

The minimum number of hours is 150 service orientation hours to avoid getting screened out at most medical schools.

What happened to soma to get on your bad boy list?
Has recently lost a number of core hospital rotations, leaving students to fend for themselves. Also refuses to post COMLEX data for the past two years, which is very suspicious. What do they have to hide?

Oh okay. Makes sense. You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to keep track of the premed/med student forum in the farther you are removed.
