Details point to mission fit, and it's important to know how you impacted communities in your work. What is your purpose as a physician? Why have you included these schools on your list? The further down your list, the less I see any geographic affinity that would benefit you. (Seriously, Western Michigan? Wisconsin?, Madison?)

Mission: Leveraging CS background for clinical research and innovating in medicine

The reason I choose those schools is because I currently work in a company based in Madison, Wisconsin. Do you still think I should not include those schools?

Have you lived in Wisconsin? I'm only going by your NY resident declaration. Where were all your community service held: in Wisconsin or NY?

Currently in my gap year(moved after applying to med school for job), where I will be volunteering in the local community of Wisconsin but with my applied hours it’s all NY.

You still didn't answer the question to itemize your activities. Your argument to the Wisconsin schools needs to be one where you are committed to the needs of the patients in the state of Wisconsin, including the remote rural parts of the state that are not near the usual urban center of Milwaukee/Chicagoland suburbs or the progressive towns like Madison. Have you contacted the admissions teams before you sent in your application?

My application hasn’t been verified yet but why would I need to show commitment to the state through service but not other schools OOS? Is it because these would be less research oriented? I want to show that I would be great applicant to contribute to research and innovation to the school that’s why I was also focusing on research focused schools and opted out of service focused schools.

What is the nature and hours of each of your non clinical volunteering activities ?

All the hours are soup kitchen volunteering. Helping cook and pass out meals.

Admittedly, most mission/vision/values statements are similar. But I infer from your answer you don't have a strong commitment to Wisconsin and just want to get into any medical school that takes you. That's fine... I just wanted to know.

Our goal is to train health, public health and research professionals who think broadly as they seek to solve society’s most pressing health challenges.

Is there a way to know if certain schools are more research focused compared to service focused if you can’t really based it off mission statement? Or would most schools just be balanced in both aspects except like the T20s.
