School List Opinions before I submit...

First off thanks everyone for posting all this advice its kept me going for months now. Just wrapping up my AADSAS tonight and wanted any second opinions or considerations for schools to choose. I think my GPA is garbage so maybe someone can influence my decision toward one or two other schools

My stats:

Idaho Residency

Neuroscience undergrad, 3.1 cumulative, 3.1 science.....extremely low unfortunately but I'm still giving it a shot.

DAT Scores: 22 AA 24 QR 22 RC 21 PAT 21 BIO 21 GC 23 OChem 24 22 TS

70 hours shadowing general and periodontist
400 hours volunteer
Fullbright Scholar
4 years of research jobs and publications at my undergrad, Max Planck Institute in Germany, and Trauma Research Center in Colorado.

My List:

Western
Colorado
Lake Erie
MWU-IL
Louisville
AT Stills
Creighton
UNLV
NYU
Buffalo
Case Western

Roseman

15 total.

Any opinions would be much appreciated!

some schools require minimum of 100 hours of shadowing.
make sure none that you are applying to have that requriement

I'm no expert with school lists. However, I'd just like to say that even with a 3.1, you have a good resume otherwise.

Sounds like you really enjoy research... I'd make sure to include schools that are more "research heavy." (Don't ask me what schools those are... but I know they exist!) 😀

In case worst comes to worst, are you taking classes to boost your GPA?

some research heavy schools that I am aware of are Michigan and Pitts so add them to ur list !

Would I stand a shot at Penn or Michigan? I had wanted to apply but figured they'd toss me aside seeing my GPA....and I know Colorado does research, and I work next door to the dental school so maybe they'll be nice.

If you got the money go for it. If not, better spent elsewhere.

What about Nova? Is that one worth adding? I feel like there was some random requirement that was keeping me from adding it......
