Rush is looking for more clinical hours than you have. Illinois has very expensive non resident tuition.
You could add any of these schools:
Miami
Georgetown
Boston University
Brown
Dartmouth
Northwestern
St. Louis

Hi, I've been struggling with my school list. For reference my stats are:

MCAT: 510, GPA: 3.63 sGPA 3.5

2000+ research hours and 2 presentations, 2000+ nonclinical volunteer hours, 250 clinical volunteer hours, 50 hrs shadowing, 6 LOR's, for leadership I started a dance team and I TA'd for a bio class. I also consistently worked 2 jobs throughout college. I'm an URM (black woman) from SoCal and come from an underserved community. I would like to go to a school that emphasizes research and preferably in an urban community bc my PS focused on that. (I'm graduating college next month so I am going to work as a medical scribe during my gap year to increase clinical hours)

  1. Albert Einstein
  2. Eastern Virginia School of Medicine
  3. Emory
  4. George Washington
  5. Howard
  6. Kaiser
  7. USC
  8. Cornell (major reach tbh)
  9. Temple
  10. New York Medical College
  11. Penn State
  12. Robert Larner University of Vermont
  13. RUSH
  14. Jefferson
  15. Tufts
  16. UC Davis
  17. UC Irvine
  18. UCSD (alma mater)
  19. UCSF (reaching for the stars here)
  20. Ohio State
  21. University of Illinois
  22. University of Michigan
  23. University of Pittsburgh
  24. Wake Forest
  25. Virginia Commonwealth
Are there any schools you all recommend I add or remove? I am open to all critiques and opinions, thanks!
I suggest the following:
Add UCLA, Drew, Stanford, UCR
And Meharry + Morehouse.

Delete UCD and UCI. ADD UCR if you're from the Inland Empire.,
Aslo add U Miami, IU and NYU.LI

You can do better than Penn State
