School List: Secondaries with 2 week deadline!

jefferson doesn't have a 2week deadline does it. I think its just a recommended thing. And their email didn't say anything.

so, i didn't realize that case has this little two-week deadline. I submitted a month later. Are these actually just guidelines? Someone please say yes.

Some schools say that they will withdraw you from consideration if you submit later. I don't think Case says this. I'm trying to justify this to myself. How much trouble did I just get myself into?

here's what case says, directly from the email for the secondary

"We request that you complete the online secondary within two weeks even though the deadline is December 15."

I waited over 3 weeks on my case secondary (complete 7/27) because I didn't see that line in the email, but I've been invited to interview now. Someone called the admissions office and they said that they wouldn't hold it against you to submit "late". Good luck!

I love how Northwestern says it shouldn't take longer than 1 hour to finish their application, when it has 3 essays and one of them asks to identify aspects of yourself.

I'm that person who called... I submitted after a month, and she said that being complete around now was still early, so I was in good shape. It wouldn't raise a red flag or anything.

vcu has a 45day deadline where you have to get everything in.

Miami Miller has a 2 week deadline.

Ohio State requests a 30 day period for completion.

Michigan st has a 2 week period to pay the fee. then you get a secondary. then get another 2 weeks to fill that out. was a pain in the ass

Does Jefferson have a strict 2 week deadline? I also got their secondary, which didn't state specifically.

I think Case will be a little more forgiving of their "two week" deadline since their website wasn't working for some people during July. Who knows though.

I called and asked about the Case secondary because I knew I wouldn't be able to get it done in time due to changing jobs, moving, vacation, etc. The lady I spoke to was really nice and said the 2 week deadline is suggested, but they don't hold students to it at all. She said to just get it done at my earliest convenience...

Western Virginia University has a strict 2 week deadline for secondary, but not for the LORs...my two cents🙂
