Have you done any networking with LMSA chapters at the schools on your list? While being South American may not necessarily qualify you under "URiM" under a national category, you may want to focus on the patient populations served by the schools on your list. You would also bring an element of diversity to any school with supportive culture and resources. That said, if you consider yourself "Hispanic/Latinx", explain how. (Note: the existence of the race/ethnicity box is a subject of the SCOTUS decisions, so even if you self-identify as H/L, it may not matter, depending on what SCOTUS deems acceptable.)

Ask questions about support for first-gen low-income students at the medical schools on your list. Many have made efforts since COVID-19 to have affiliation clubs focused on FGLI students. Check out...
