Hello,

I hate to be that guy, but I need some recommendations on where to apply for MD/PhD.

I realize that statistics are just statistics and a lot of the process is subjective, but here they are:

GPA(cumulative and science): 3.91

MCAT: 35 (10V, 11PS, 14B)

I have 2 summers of research experience (one at University of Nebraska Med Center and one at Wash U in St. Louis) and one year of research experience at my home institution (I've presented at several poster presentations).

I was very involved in undergrad.

Also, I have about 60 hours of shadowing, but I've heard shadowing isn't as important for MD/PhD.

I'm not looking to go anywhere amazing, I just need a few schools at which I will be a competitive applicant.

Thanks in advance!

With those stats, you can apply most places and be competitive. I'd submit 15-20 apps, including some schools outside the "top 25," and I'd submit them early. Spend a lot of time on your personal statement (make it compelling & memorable) and on your research essay. Make sure you can write/speak confidently about your research experiences. Get your secondaries completed promptly (preferably w/in 2 weeks of receipt). All the standard advice... 🙂

Good luck, I'm sure you'll do well.
