Hey Guys,

Few months ago I received a BAD first Mcat score of 22R (8/10/4). I took everyone's advice to fill out my AACOMAS, submit it to one school, verify, and retake the MCAT. Yesterday, I received my second score of 26S (10/7/9). Now, that I have a 22R and 26S (or a 29S for those few schools that take best of each section), I am ready to submit my applications.

Are there certain schools would you recommend me to apply? Certain schools I should not even bother with? I am willing to go anywhere, regardless of the geographical region.

More stats: 3.6 uGPA, 3.4sGPA, publications, medical brigades in central america, 4 years research, volunteering, TA, ext. Above average extra-curriculums.

congrats on your improved score! sounds like with your stats you are competitive everywhere so I'd apply where ever you would be happy going and I'd do it now!

Contact schools and find out which ones average your scores. Then apply to all schools that don't average them.

Seems like quiet a few schools mix and match. It sucks that I got a 7 on VR the second time, hopefully it will balance out with a 10 on VR i got the first time.

Looking forward to hearing all your feedback on schools I should apply to! I am open to any.

dumb please, need more advice. Don't know where to apply. 😕

Want to do them all, but can't afford that. I know that OUCOM, MSUCOM, OSCOM, PCOM, New Jersey, and the two Western Universities have very BIG regional bias, I know I wont apply to those. Anything else?

Also, is there a difference which Edward Via I should apply to?

Thank you!

Does Western-Pomona have a regional bias? I didn't think so? Lebanon maybe, but Pomona?

No regional preference, but there are so many CA residents applying that it screws up the stat representation.

Is there any school you guys recommend not applying to with a 26s (29s cumulative).
