School Selection Issue (14-15)

Did u apply to MD schools? If so, how'd that go? You're stats seem borderline for MD schools, and you probably should not rush into an osteopathic school unless you did everything right when applying to MD schools (applying early, having good LORs, etc.).
Ccom, kcumb, and dmu are pretty good. People also speak highly of nova.

I applied to 20 MD Schools with nothing yet. I have good ECs, and finished all my MD secondaries by mid September. @Goro helped me pick DO schools a few months ago, but I was unable to apply to all of them for financial reasons. I just don't know if applying to them now will not be possible, as it's later in the cycle.
I think it's getting too late in the cycle for DO schools.
Aw man. You think it's too late to apply?I think it's getting too late in the cycle for DO schools.
Perhaps not for the newer schools. I'm worried that you'd be ending up interviewing for wait, list spots at schools like mine, though.
any of the Touro's, AZCOM, or newer schools (Marian, Campbell, ACOM, LMU, etc). I would be surprised if you didn't get something from Rowan.Hi.
I applied to 3 Osteopathic schools, submitting my last secondary in October. I'm a NJ resident 3.5 Cum 3.3 Science 32 MCAT (11/10/11).
Having some regret about applying to only three schools. Would like to get into the best programs available to me given my stats.
I've applied to Rowan, PCOM, and NYITCOM
Looking at CCOM, UNECOM, and anything else that can be recommended to me.
Don't know what I want to go into, so ideally something that will afford me the most opportunity.
How many more schools should I apply to, and help with picking please.

with a 3.3 sci gpa I think you need a 35+ to have a decent chance at MD schools.
Nothing yet. That's why I'm starting to get nervous.
I'm hoping for something from Rowan or PCOM soon, but I don't know if that's going to happen at this point.

When you say late, do you mean that its late to submit primaries? Personally, I am almost done with my secondaries and plan to submit by next week. Would this be too late as well?

Just go ahead and submit, and don't look back.

@Goro @user3 Thanks to both of you. Realistically, if I'm complete by the first week of January (will be retaking the MCAT, and my score comes out 1/6), will I be one of those people interviewing for the waitlist if I did get an interview?
The more established schools are getting more difficult to get into. We may have to treat them like MD schools in the near future, in terms of when to apply for them. Your stats are competitive for DO and so it is tough to say if you will be interviewing for a wait list.
However, for the schools that have been around for a couple decades or less, you definitely have a shot. There are people who are accepted even in April. There was one poster on here who sent his app much later than yours and got into a mid-tier school. So you are still in there.
Based upon the turn around times at my school, I believe that you would be getting in under the wire.
