I am guessing this post is for all those who along a full time class schedule Carry a full/part time job plus your usual ECs and actually having a social life.

So how do you manage your time? What does your usual weekly schedule look like?

As for myself I am currently working 40-48 hrs a week and taking 3 classes, volunteer once to twice a week and attend certain organization meetings. Once spring 2010 semester starts, I m thinking of working anywhere from 20-30 hrs a week since I'm planning to be a full time student.

So any of you who have gone or going through something similar? How did you manage and how did your grades turn out?

Eddie

I did all that and i had a newborn child at home freshmen year. My grades turned out fine as i managed about a 3.8 for 4 years. You manage it by not wasting time on facebook and sdn . Seriously though youll find time its not too difficult you just have to make some sacrifices whether that be only going out once a week instead of 4 times like your friends, or finding time to study at work or volunteering/research etc. My job allowd me to study a lot making it much easier. honestly i wish i only had work + school + Ecs lol. life would have been easeir.

I'm in the same boat. I have only been taking a few classes at a time but starting in the Spring I'll be going full time (16 credits) along with working full time and fitting in volunteering one night a week. Basically here's how my schedule will work in the spring

Sunday - Work from 6a-2:30p, Study from 3-whenever I fall asleep on my books
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday - Work from 7a-3:30p, Study from 4-whenever I fall asleep 😛
Tuesday, Thursday - Class from 8:25a-10:10p... I'll likely go right to bed once I get home these nights.

I have a couple breaks between classes that are a little over an hour so that leaves me a little time to do something other than school and work. One of the nights (prob Friday?) I'll be skipping the study time to do some volunteering. Luckily I'm married so I don't have much of a social life as it is... I will have to drop some of my TV watching that I do now and probably a lot of the SDN/Facebook/Twitter 🙁

haha i would definitely agree with the above poster. delete your facebook or myspace. its a huge distraction.

Thanks for the replies guys..

vpersan- What kind of work do you do? It sounds good that you will have T n Th specifically for school, no need to worry about getting late to work or class. What classes will you be taking in the spring ?

Elijah05-Congrats on achieving a great gpa! So are you in med school now? I wish I could have a job that would give me the possibility of studying while working...lol...what did you work in??

Anyone else working and going to school?? Come on, there has to be more of you here..
