Hi everyone,

If I completed a single online course through another instutition over a summer while in undergrad, and that course is listed on my transcript from my home institution, do I still need to list the other school on my application and submit a transcript from that school? I know this may end up being something that differs by program, but I thought I would ask you all to see if there's a general consensus before I start asking graduate admissions offices.

I would say no. I completed a summer course at another university, but it is also listed on the transcript from my home university, and the credits obviously transfered. I see no need to list it.

I saw one of the schools I'm applying to specifically stated they wanted transcripts for all schools that you earned at least 9 credits for, others appear to want all that you've ever attempted credit at.

I had a similar situation when I was applying. I attended a study abroad program hosted by my home institution and received 6 credits. The grades were on my transcript from my home school, but I still listed that I attended the school. There was never any question as to why I didn't submit a transcript from the school abroad.

I have a similar question. When I was in high school, I took 3 classes at the community college. The credits transferred over to my undergrad university but do I need to list the community college and send in a transcript?

Yes, you do need to do this. As long as the credits were required for something (degree, major, prereq) then you need a transcript for them.

I just wanted to thank those of you who responded for your comments. I decided to go ahead and contact the programs. It turns out they do want ALL transcripts. Perhaps I could get away with less, but I'm going to send everything just to be safe.
