So as all of you know, the topic of school rank in the med school app process has come up again and again. Though I attended a nationally high ranked undergrad in the US, and (now) feel that school prestige should play a very small role in the app process, I have been informed that whether or not this factor is considered depends on the medical school.
Today the Asst. Dean of Admissions from GW came to Penn and answered several questions - one of which foucused on the importance of school rank in the admissions process. He specifically said that at GW it DOES NOT PLAY a role. He did, however, that at some med schools it does.
cya!
good luck everyone
