I'm finalizing my schools list for this cycle and would appreciate any advice.
A little about me:
NC Resident
Non-traditional Applicant: Finished Undergraduate in 2016, worked in Healthcare Consulting for 3 years (2016-2019), Graduate Student (2019-present)
Reapplicant (applied to ~10 schools in the 2017-2018 cycle. Interviewed and waitlisted at EVMS, but had to withdraw from the waitlist due to full-time work circumstances)
Undergraduate Major: Economics and Chemistry
GPA: 3.5, Upward Trend
sGPA: 3.33
Masters of Physiology (currently pursuing)
GPA: 4.0
MCAT:
510; Chem/Phys: 127, CARS 130, Bio 126, Psych/Soc 127 **MCAT score is from June 2015, so it is expired now**
Retaking MCAT on 7/18 (rescheduled due to COVID). Currently scoring in the 511-516 range on AAMC Full Length Practice Tests 1-3
Full-Time Work: ~7500 hours (3 years) in Healthcare/Financial Consulting.
Shadowing Experience:
>200 hours (Cardiology, Anesthesiology, OB/GYN, General Surgery, Internal Medicine)
Research Experience: Clinical Research: minimal (~100 hours), no publications. (More was planned, but cancelled due to COVID)
Volunteering:
Clinical: 500 hours
Non-clinical: 700 hours
Leadership:
Senior Level Consultant: lead teams of 4-6 consultants on project engagements with major hospital systems.
President of Habitat for Humanity Club at my undergraduate school
