I know this thread has been done before, but I couldn't find anything that wasn't 4+ years old.

Does anyone have any current info on schools that average multiple MCAT scores? I hear that it is starting to become more common, and considering my horrible first attempt at the MCAT, I do not want to waste time/money applying to these schools.

So far: apparently Rush and Loyola average. or they did 4 years ago...do schools change these policies often or should I assume that most likely this policy is still in action?

There was a study that LizzyM cited stating that the average MCAT score was the best indicator of future success on Step 1 / 2 (versus taking the best composite score, most recent score, or highest score). Schools may be altering their policy towards the MCAT based on this new information, so I would call the schools that you're interested in and check.

I'm not sure if Rush still does...I know that Loyola definitely still averages.

This is unverified but I have heard that USF averages
