Schools that don't interview?
Started by Tegan05
I know there are a few that don't do interviews but I can't seem to find a compiled list.
North Carolina is one though. Others?
Michigan
Colorado
(at least for OOS)
I don't think Wisconsin interviews
Oklahoma State doesn't interview OOS.
Feel free to add more!

Michigan does do some interviews. I know 2 girls from my school who interviewed there last year. One got in and the other was placed on the alternate list. According to their website:
Up to 60% of the class will be selected based on exceptional SIS score and an acceptable committee file review. The remaining 40% of the class will be selected based on a competitive SIS score plus a committee file review and/or an interview.

Yes, but it is very rare. I was not interviewed and everyone else I know who was accepted did not interview.Michigan does do some interviews. I know 2 girls from my school who interviewed there last year. One got in and the other was placed on the alternate list. According to their website:

But it's an old enough thread that I can probably let it slide this time.

It's probably out of date, too, with schools changing around their systems all the time. We didn't even need your link, TT! 😛

From what the girls told me last year that interviewed there they accept the people they're sure of right away and then for the people they're unsure of they interview them, accept some and waitlist the others. The girls told me that if you interview you're either accepted or put on the waitlist, they don't reject those they interviewed. Again, this is what I heard from 2 people that interviewed there last year. I don't know how rare/common it is, just that 2 people from my school did it.
No interviews???!!! Wow, that's just sort of cool!! Wish I was actually able to apply to these schools!! 😀
Last year, early/high sis score admits were in january and people with average sis scores were admitted in february-march. I heard that they only interview someone if there is something odd on their application that they would like to clear up.From what the girls told me last year that interviewed there they accept the people they're sure of right away and then for the people they're unsure of they interview them, accept some and waitlist the others. While it's true that some people get accepted right away and others have to have a file review, VERY VERY few people get interviews. in general interviews are used when the ad com has questions about something on your application (huge gaps of time where nothing was there, serious bad grades and then sudden improvement, etc). i don't know anyone in our class who got an interview. if you're applying there, i would count them as a non-interview because the chance of you actually getting an interview is incredibly low.
