can i get a list going or can someone help me find a previous thread that lists which of the top 50 med schools (allopathic) that give automatic sec's?

thanks for your help!

Check out theprincetonreview's review of the medical schools. It pretty much lists all of the stuff you mention. There are a bunch of schools that send secondaries to all.

You will get more responses if you askd which schools DON'T give automatic secs. I got automatic secondaries from most schools I applied to.

Schools that are not automatic secs:

All 5 UCs
Wake Forest
NYU
Loyola
VCU (not sure if top 50)

There were a bunch more I can't name off the top of my head. Get the MSAR or go to TPR website as someone suggested. Good luck, especially with those brutal UCs.

So if I'm taking the August MCAT and I fill out the AMCAS application and send the recommendations all early in the summer, can I still receive automatic secondaries (before my scores are released) and submit them early also so that once my scores are out in October I, hopefully, receive an interview...! Has this happened with anyone?

Added to the list:

Schools that are not automatic secs:

All 5 UCs
Wake Forest
NYU
Loyola
VCU (not sure if top 50)
U. Washington
Vanderbilt
U. Michigan
U. Pittsburgh
UNC
U. Rochester

then let me change it.

i am now looking for schools that do not give automatic secondaries that are in the top 50!

Auto 2ndaries:

MCW
tOSU
Rochester

I got secondary offers online within 4 hours of submitting my AMCAS
