schools that put you on their interview list before secondary...

Hello all,

I wanted to have your opinions, I applied to 21 schools and at the end decided not to send 3 of the secondaries. One of the schools just put me on their pending interviews list but I won't interview until they receive my secondary. Can schools use this just to get you to pay their secondary fee? (I basically decided to save myself $300 by not sending the secondaries) Anyone had that happen to them?

I received pre-secondary interviews from Michigan, Pittsburgh, and Vanderbilt. I doubt they do this to pay their secondary fee because there's no way they can possibly interview everyone. As far as I know, they send them out to applicants with good numbers. Don't bother sending it in though if you're not interested in attending.
