Not sure if this is addressed somewhere, but does anyone know which schools (if any) give you an acceptance early (before December 1)? I need a letter of acceptance somewhere in order to apply for an AF scholarship, and I need a letter before November. Any chance?
School: University of Notre Dame
Major: Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
GPA/scienceGPA: 3.87/3.89
DAT scores: 22RC 24Math 24GChem 24OChem 19Bio 19PAT 23AA
Extra Curricular: Walk-on Notre Dame Football Team

Thank you,
Chris

I highly doubt that schools give acceptances before December 1st.

I believe Pitt do but your 19 Bio and 19 PAT kills your chance for early acceptance. You need above 20 in every section.

Go on any dental school website and you will see this (taken from the U Pittsburgh website):

"By general agreement among schools, the earliest date of acceptance to American dental schools is December 1."

I thought you apply for the military scholarships after you are accepted...?

Taken from UPitt Website:

" Early admission, with the completion of at least 90 semester hours, will be considered providing that the applicant has achieved a desired minimum QPA of 4.0 (both science and non-science) and a minimal score of 26 on each section of the DAT. "

I guess the OP is out of luck.

You have a sick humor. 👎

1) No schools give out acceptances until Dec 1st
2) You do not need an acceptance for dental school to apply for the scholarship. You would be accepted on the contingency that you will get into dental school. (If your recruiter didn't tell that to you already, then they are terrible). Just get your app and medical done ASAP so your package can go to boards for review...

when i first read that on pitts website, i thought they made a typo 😳

Everybody tells me that you do need an acceptance letter. I'm pretty sure that you do need one for the AF scholarship. The AF does not have automatic acceptance anymore like the Army does.
