I bought the 2009 ADEA Official Guide to Dental Schools book from the ADEA, which by the way is VERY helpful but also needs to be more comprehensive, early this year.
In the book they state that some schools have a required minimum for the DAT. I'll list it below to help ya'll out. Of course check with the school right now because they might have changed their requirement. Also check to see if there is a minimum for each section. Hope this helps!
DAT Minimum
USC: 15 required
Howard: 17 required
Nova: 18 required
Univ of Florida: 15 minimum
Medical College of Georgia: 14 required and 14 required for PAT
UIC: 15 minimum and 14 required for PAT
Indiana: 16 minimum, 18 required for Reading Comp
Iowa: prefers the minimum national average on each section of the DAT
Tufts: 16 required, 15 required for PAT, and 16 required for Total Science
Mich: 17 or higher in science sections
UMKC: 17 preferred
UMDNJ: 18 minimum
Stony Brook: no minimum but must be taken within 3 years of application
UNC: 17 required
OSU: 13 minimum for PAT
Oklahoma: 17 minimum
Pitt: 16 minimum on each section of the DAT
Temple: 18 required
Tenn: 17 required
VCU: should be taken no later than Dec of the year prior to matriculation
Washington: should be taken no later than Oct. 31st of the year before you are admitted
