General Admissions & OTCAS Schools with late application deadlines

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Radford University in Virginia is a smaller, newer program but its application deadline isn't until May.

Radford has some required prerequisites that are a bit out of the norm from other OT schools. Look into the requirements before planning to apply.

Since you mentioned Michigan i'm assuming you know about Davenport University, but just in case you don't, they have a second deadline in May.

there are also some programs that have january start dates. if you are willing to relocate, i think csu-dominguez hills and west coast university, both in southern california, have january start dates. i don't know when their application deadlines are but i would think you would still have time to apply to those.

Hmm... I had ruled out applying to anyplace in California just because of the cost of living. I know that University of St. Augustine has entry points three times a year with three different application deadlines.

Concordia in Wisconsin has a hybrid program with a January start date.

University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center both begin in January.

Thanks guys! Since you guys know a lot about deadlines I was wondering if you know any schools that accept transfer students?

From reading the requirements of different schools, many will accept transfer students who are in good standing at the time they leave the other school. (meaning they didn't quit to avoid getting kicked out and they are eligible to return). Few schools will even look at what classes you took to evaluate transfer credit. You would probably have to retake classes even if a lot of the material is a repeat. If you were asked to leave a program for some reason, you would have a difficult time getting into another school. You would have to have strongly extenuating circumstances such as death of a parent, child or spouse, or missing several weeks of school and being weak after that due to major surgery or something like that.
