I'm sorry, but you are kidding right? 😀 unless the UCLA secondary changed from last year, that thing was long, it had like 6 short essays, and if you applied disadvantaged, you had some extra stuff to fill out...I can't comment about duke and columbia.
NYMC, harvard are pretty easy....
 
GTown and SLU are pretty easy also. Each has a short essay but both are do-able in one day.
 
Jefferson's is another easy one, if you can even call it a secondary.

Adding Case Western to the Tough category--the essay can be time-consuming, if for no other reason than that you get to write about something important to YOU, so tend to put a little more love and affection into it (at least I did).

Wash U, Tulane, and Baylor were definitely not mindless but they seemed to be relatively quick also, so I'll add them to the East category.

Creighton is already on the list as "trivial." To copy a list and add to it, just hit the quote button at the bottom of the post, delete that poster's comments and the quote codes at the beginning and end and insert your additions.

I am agreement that Duke's secondary was by far the hardest application that I have yet submitted. I was very surpised that schools like JH were much easier to complete.
 
Hi Guys,

I just wanted to say, I understand about the Duke secondary (current first year at Duke). I actually filled it out 4 months after the "deadline". It took me a while to do some research (we had a question about the ethics of stem cells) and come up with a good moral dilemma. My advice, do a good job on it. Remember Duke is non-rolling, so don't worry about how long it takes (call and ask how negotiable the deadline is this year), just do the best you can.

I say moderate . . . a lot easier than UVA/Pritzker/Case.
