Sorry I'm a newb. Does anybody know which pharmacy schools are easy to get in?

None are "easy" to get in to but some have lower and higher stats, some choose to take in their 0-6 program members compared to private schools or schools without an under grad ... this might help you :

The easy ones to get into are the ones with low average gpa of accepted first year pharmacy students. This information can be found on PharmCAS.

Wow, so many rude people these days. let me rephrase my question. Which pharmacy schools are easier to get in than others? I tried to look on pharmcas but have no idea what I am looking at. I know that they post their GPA standard.

Look for new-ER schools. Don't go for brand new schools because they're seeking accreditation still and will probably do their best to pad their numbers by taking only really qualified people who will show promise. Also don't go for schools as old as the hills, for the same principle... They're so established and known, they have many applicants and often take very qualified people only.

My GPA isn't bad at all. I was just wanting to know. because I will be applying soon. I just don't have a lot of confident. There is a pharmacy school called GA Pcom. they will have their first class in fall 2010. So you think i should avoid those school? By the way, they trying to get pre-candidate status right now. The campus not only consist of pharmacyschool, but it has a medical school. Should I apply to school that have candidate status, which are easier to get in?

If you have have an average gpa and are considering CA schools, apply to California Northstate and Touro. Almost everyone I know, with decent stats, got an interview there when applying. Also from what I hear, they are good schools and people are happy there.

indeed! GA Pcom, is fairly new and HAS applied for pre-candidate status with ACPE. but, currently pending ACPE approval. it's "anticipated", that the first class will be admitted for the fall 2010 semester. once pre-candidate status is awarded to the school, they can then proceed to apply for candidate status. full accreditation cannot be sought until the school has progressed through the pre-candidate and candidate steps and has graduated its first class. In order to open the school MUST attain pre-candidate status from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education[ACPE].

So you think i should avoid those school?

no... but, there are no gaurantees for the moment that it's doors will open as scheduled for fall 2010. so yeah... it's really up to YOU i suppose.

well, between pre-candidate and candidate status? you would think it be rather obvious considering. buuut, who the hell knows really? after all... i'm almost certain none of us HERE will be the adcom reviewing your app. so, yeah...😉 AND good luck! to YOU as well...

Have more confidence in yourself! Don't shoot for the easiest pharmacy schools to get into... "Always aim for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." 😀
