I was wondering if anyone has heard of the Schwarzman Scholarship (new international scholarship deemed "Rhodes for China" for 1-year masters in Tsinghua University in Beijing, focused on policy/geopolitics) and how medical schools might perceive it?

If you get it, go. It looks like an awesome experience. You even get to meet head of states, ambassadors, things like that in it. Completely paid for including travel and whatnot. I imagine medical schools will like it, especially if you tie it into global health policy type things. But obviously, don't do it just to look good for medical school. I do know some of those graduates do go onto medical school or science PhDs however.

It's a very prestigious scholarship, I was accepted in the first cohort, but ultimately chose a Fulbright. I think adcoms are not very knowledgeable on these topics in general so not sure how much pull you will have.
