SCI salary

So I entered PM&R planning on going into pain/spine/MSK, because I love procedures and worked with quite a few PM&R docs that did this. I have found that I really like SCI as well. I'm having a hard time choosing between the 2 fields. If I tried for a SCI fellowship there is a good one in the city I'm training, and I wouldn't have to move my family yet again. However someone told me that I would be close to cutting my earning potential by almost half. Is that true. How much does the average SCI board certified doc earn? Ive tried searching and haven't foudn a thing. Any sources would be nice.

This will depend in large part on whether you go Academic vs Private. ANd also, it will depend on whether you see only SCI vs SCI plus a mix of other types of patients/procedures etc.
