NEED to improve my science scores when I retake the DAT i got 16 in gen chem and a 14 in o chem🙁 thinking of taking Kaplan in person prep course.. or DAT bootcamp... ?? help

I have that and I'm currently going through the questions in gen chem first time and its kicking my butt

I have a solid background in organic but for Gen Chem and biology, I relied on destroyer. Got a 25TS. It's tough, but the real DAT is on the same level as destoyer. Do your best to understand the solutions and explanations.

Okay I am doing question by question and checking solution immediately.. a lot of them i have to look at the solution to see how to do it right now.. any other advice?

If you look at the solutions right after you read the question because you find it too difficult. Then I would question your understanding of the topics that are covered in general chemistry. I would watch Chad again, do your best to understand every formula, concept, or idea he throws at you. Then you can start with destroyer. Also, you should post any question you struggle with on this forum and we will do our best to help you here at SDN.

okay thank you so much! i have about 80 more gen chem questions to go through.. then i plan on taking a practice exam this weekend just to see what score I'm at.. then ill watch chad again and do destroyer again🙂

With those scores I'd reset back to square one of your content review before attempting to use Destroyer or practice tests again.

Don't do kaplan's online review course, the amount of time spent there could be used wisely by doing self-study. I was a kaplan customer and i honestly didn't like the prep course.

much better to save 1500$ and just spend that on bootcamp or other resources

Are you sure sure about that? Numerous times I've heard destroyer is harder than the DAT

I felt like my exam was on the same level. But there are many versions out there so...
